How to respond
Write to [email protected] from an address that can reasonably establish your identity or authority. Include the story URL, the specific claim you are addressing, your response and any original records that support it.
What happens next
An editor verifies the identity and materials, compares them with the existing evidence and decides whether the story needs a reply, clarification, update or correction. We may quote a concise response fairly and will explain material changes transparently.
Limits
A right to reply is not a right to remove accurate, lawfully reported information or to dictate our wording. We do not accept payment for changes. Requests involving safety or private personal data receive priority review.
